
Kathryn Criston was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin. As a child, she had extensive training in both visual and performing arts, especially classical cello. At age 15, she shot a feature-length film, Lord of the Gummy Rings, and discovered her love of lighting. Since then, she has worked on feature and short films as director of photography, gaffer, and grip electrician.
Kathryn currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When not shooting films, she enjoys playing cello and intensive fitness.
